About the IMC

|
The Washington Instructional Media Center contains books, magazines, videos,
art prints, sound recordings and other materials to fulfill instructional needs
as well as promote individual interests and further the appreciation of reading
and learning. All of our local materials can be found through the automated
catalog which can be accessed from any of the computers within the school
through the addition of a simple shortcut. |

In addition to the twelve computers in
the browsing area, there is an enclosed area with 15 computers for student work
and research. The Audio Visual area, which is accessible through the IMC,
contains the computer stations for scanning, digital video editing, CD
recording, as well as the video, sound, and slide collections. The AV area is
also the location of the video distribution unit and where the live
announcements are done each day. |
